Description
I've been dreaming of making this pony for a couple of years and now I finally had the chance to give it a try. I made her as a thank you gift for my thesis supervisor. Said thesis was the reason I've been taking a break from customs, it feels great to be back in business after such a long time, it's been well over a year since I last worked on ponies.
The pony is completely handpainted from the full body repaint to the details. The design features a simplified version of the opening word 'liber' from the Gospel of St. Matthew in the Lindisfarne Gospels (British Library Cotton MS Nero D.IV.). Not forgetting the tiny Old English gloss for 'book', of course. I wasn't able to fit all the elements in such a small area but I did my best to replicate what I could. For further information and pictures of the original manuscript, please see the British Library website: www.bl.uk/onlinegallery/sacred…
Acrylic paints & matte polyurethane sealant. Rehaired in nylon hair from Dollyhair.com, a blend of several natural shades and a touch of golden 'Sunlight'.

Oh, my goodness! This girl so so amazing! She really looks like an old book. And those details on the symbol are unbelievable! You did such an amazing job with her.
